1. Better living through massive doses of painkillers. Once the first one stayed down, I could ramp up gradually, and by bedtime it was controlled enough that I could sleep.
2. Slept better last night. Second night off sleep meds is way better than first. (Also, pain is exhausting.)
3. I now don't have to check back for jury duty until 5pm.
4. Fixed bug at work with about a half hour of inspection this morning. Pain makes people stupid.
5. Also made progress on next task at work. This feels verra nice.

I also have peach herbal tea. Many things are better with tea.

Yes indeed! I am definitely not one of those people who romanticizes the idea of living in the past. Better living through chemistry, that's me!!

Yeah, our brains are natural, so what we invent must be extensions of nature. Well, o.k., some things make you wonder. Anyway, I'm glad you're feeling better...and nabbing a bug is always rewarding.

I don't romanticize the days before MRI was available, hell no!!! Better living through both chemistry and technology!

Also, pain is exhausting.

That's for damned sure!

I love hearing stories of health joy.

Amen! There's nothing like having had a big bunch of pain to make a person happy about just plain being healthy again. :-)
