I lost my jury duty summons, but...

I found my watch!

Broken Watch

Remember this watch? By the time I figured out where to get it repaired, I didn't know where I'd put it. That was nearly a year ago, and I sadly guessed that it was gone for good. Nope! I came across it yesterday while searching for my jury duty letter.
Broken Watch

I have my watch back! WHEEE! Now, of course, I just need to get it repaired.

Law of conservation of lost items. Everytime you find something, you lose something else....

Hah! Just about!

I hope I don't find my jury duty summons. I got all the information I needed from the court secretary this morning, so I can live without the letter, so whatever else I'd lose in order to get the letter would therefore be something I'd be sadder without.

So, where was it, if it wasn't in your sock drawer?

In the glove compartment in the car. :-) I was really pretty sure that I hadn't put my jury duty letter in there, but I'd searched most everywhere else I could think of, and wow!, there was my watch!

I was a little bit off when I estimated I would find it in April.

Wow. Well now I know why I never found it.

The watch? I guess we still don't know why neither of us found the jury duty letter! ;-)

It's probably in the deep freezer.

That's not a bad return, a watch for a piece of paper. Granted, it's a broken watch, so you have to factor that in. But still. I'm skipping my lottery ticket purchase today and investing in CJ. ;)

A watch for a piece of paper is pretty good. I could get one red paperclip and start trading up!

I remember that! You'd be a natural. :)
