Grrrrrumpy

I'm hungry.

I didn't cook enough last weekend, so the only thing left now is beans, and let's just say that the lovely new pinto bean recipe -- while delicious -- is not something I am willing to eat if I am going to be around any other humans in the following eighteen hours. (Yes, I took probiotics. Lots of them. That's likely why I'm still in one piece.)

Well, okay, there's also one remaining tub of the fondue made with nasty wine. I probably should have brought that in today. I didn't.

So I'm eating all the peanuts and almonds I can stuff in my face, and I'm ravenous, and it's making me grumpy.

Boo. Hiss.

Come home early. Cook something. You still have a long day ahead...

You would not believe how tempted I am to skip the rest of my day.

I need a wife.

I so know that feeling!

Take the mental health day and go home. Especially since it's Friday.

On a totally unrelated note, is it intentional that the RSS feed of your LJ is titles-only, but the RSS feed of Rob's LJ is full text?

I pulled it back to titles-only when Google was indexing and storing everything off LJ. They hadn't yet agreed to obey the no bots thing, though soon afterward they did. I should figure out how to unset that flag.

Since most of the good content is friends-only at the moment, the RSS feed isn't too useful anyways. But I'll fix it, and the friends-only-ness can relax soon too.

Hah! Found it. (Admin console, "set synlevel [full|summary|title]".) There, that should help in the future.

Beano works. Various other companies make combination digestive enzymes as well. Gas-x helps with the painful side effects.

Do you drive past any drug stores or health food stores in your daily travels?

Beano works.

Oh, if I had a dime for everyone who thought that this also meant it would work for me.

Oh dear. Maybe you could benefit from a different enzyme to break down the cellulose that some intestinal flora adore so much. I know that I need a fairly large amount of beano or other enzyme to have an effect, but if I take enough of it, it works for me.
