As someone who has had more UTIs than are good for anyone, and dealing with a husband who has currently has a wicked one. Boy can I relate. I do hope that they can get this thing taken care of, once and for all. Meanwhile *hugs* to mommy *scritches* to the cat.
Yeah, I'm going to push for a stronger approach this time -- either heavier-duty antibiotics or a much longer run. If one week of antibiotics just made the little beasties angry, she could be in big trouble if we don't hit them hard.
The clinic didn't, because the vet wasn't back until today and she hadn't noted a refill on my chart. Her culture (from a sample taken Friday afternoon) came back clean, so they were probably thinking it was just weird symptoms and not really a UTI. Wrong...
No kidding, on both counts! I'm realizing how little extra time my schedule has right now. Confining her in that bathroom with food, water, and litter box took fifteen minutes, and that's fifteen minutes I didn't sleep.
Yeah, poor thing! I took some TP and blotted up one of the drops she left, to show size and color of it to the vet. (She won't have anything in her bladder to give a sample.) Hopefully the vet will look at it and say YOU GET DRUGS NOW.
