Comet Holmes

I wish I knew where Rob keeps his binoculars. I looked in a couple of places around the house, but I failed to find a big arrow saying "AWESOME BINOCULARS OF AWESOMENESS: SEARCH HERE."

I'd love to take a look at Comet Holmes through those. I can see it with the naked eye (whenever the cloud cover gets thin enough), and my Pitiful Binoculars of Extreme Wimpiness just tell me the dot is blurry.

Thank you for posting this! I'd heard about the comet, but then forgot. Your posting prompting me to break out my binoculars AND my telescope at 9:30pm tonight, and I saw it right away. If only I could take pictures....

Oh, and damn these clouds and the moon!

Thank you for mentioning it! I saw something a few days ago, but stuff was on fire and I was sick and I figured by the time I had the opportunity to look it would be too late. Tonight, I thought it was cloudy because I couldn't see any stars out the window, but I bothered to go outside and it turns out that it's just moonlit and a little hazy. Very few visible stars, but once I knew where to look I spotted it right away. We have some 10x50s and it was indeed a nice fuzzy blob in them.
