Decadence

1. Lentil soup, now with fewer lectins! It smells SO GOOD. It'll be ready in a few minutes.

2. I have an utterly and completely free weekend and nobody to spend it with. Now I get to decide what to do. This afternoon I jotted down ideas as they came to me, and the list is enormous. Garden? Sew? Declutter? See Shakespeare in the park? (Les, I'd tag along when you're going, but I'll be out of town that weekend.) Bake? Sit in the hot tub? Do some of everything? I do have to write a fair bit of C3B, but other than that I am giddy with choices.

3. I don't have a third decadent thing, but this post feels like it needs one, so I'll simply mention again that the LENTIL SOUP SMELLS SOOOOO GOOD.

I vote for the hot tub!

If I wake up at as strange a time tomorrow as I did this morning, I'll watch the dawn from the hot tub. That would be truly nifty!

oh wow! what a gift to have for yourself!! i vote for a little sewing, a little gardening, and definitely the hot tub. maybe bake something if you're up for the standing.

Tonight I made lunches and dinners that will easily last me a week (except I'll get bored with lentil soup and little meatloaf blobs, so they'll last longer). I also decluttered a bit in the kitchen. How many dish towels and sets of chopsticks do I truly need, after all?

Tomorrow morning is definitely Mount Fold-Me, writing C3B, a trip to the post office for stamps, and paying/mailing bills. There are more chores, but that's good for one morning; after those are done I can spend some time on the good stuff.

Lentil soup is love. Or at least lust. Oh yay for lentil soup! What did you put in yours?

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2007-07-21 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
It's a sensual thing, lentil soup. I put onion, curry powder, some turmeric (is that redundant?), garlic powder, ground black pepper, and ground ginger. I swoon at the scrumptiousness of pepper and ginger and curry.

Wanna come to a birthday party? Andres' birthday party is Saturday evening, and he didn't invite you because he doesn't know you. But I told him you're cool, so he doesn't mind. :)

Ooo! Um, sure, if he truly doesn't mind. I would enjoy saying hi to you again and perhaps bumping into random mutual friends. Whereabouts?

Oh ok! I'll ship off an e-mail. Also, my name at livejournal works.

(I screened your comment just in case. Spam = bad.)

Heh. :) I don't worry so much about e-mail spam, I just don't want crazed stalkers finding my house without going to a little effort.

Many thanks! That was lovely.

i've found myself in a similar free-weekend situation. i've decided to fill mine with bills/chores/errands today, and an impulsive drive up to santa rosa to look at a run-down house on half an acre of land just outside of town tomorrow. it's either a total waste of time or the best synchronicity ever. either way, 101 up that way is a beautiful drive.

I'm doing roughly the same, without the Santa Rosa. Bills done, stamps obtained, Tupperware obtained, little flowering plants obtained and mostly planted (the one for the back will go in in the AFTERNOON when it's SHADY there), soup divided into portions, dishes rinsed...

...so I probably can't put off writing the C3B choreography any longer, huh? :-)

I hope the Santa Rosa place turns out to be synchronicity!
