Hot water

Kim's going to spin the hot tub tomorrow. She thinks she and two of her construction buddies can do it, with a dolly sturdy enough to take the weight. If she needs help I may grab a coworker or two and run over. And the electrician will be running conduit that afternoon.

I love it when a plan fiiiiiiinally comes together! 8-)

So when is the first open invitation LJ hot tub party going to happen? :-) Or more seriously, the first one I'm invited to. Everyone else can fend for themselves.

Good question! Do you get to Silly Valley often?

Not often enough, unfortunately. I've been meaning to visit a friend in Berkeley for a month or so, but haven't been able to get off my lazy ass.

For some reason, I thought you were socal.

If you need help before 2pm tomorrow, I could take off for an hour to help spin. :-)

Thanks! It'll be late afternoon, though, I think.

That is so neat to have a hot tub. At least you are in CA where you can use it year-around.

Our condo would NOT like it if I put a hot tub on the patio :)

I am not at all surprised :-) We were worried just about the load on the deck, which is low to the ground and supported all across the structure. I guess we'll see when we fill the tub.

We are actually subground level on our patio (its sunken) and it might hold the weight but the condo people here have been really funny about the patio's - people got asked to remove nails stuck in the brick of their terrace that had been there for years, even before they moved in.

We do have a swimming pool here, even if you have to pay a fee to use it.

Wow, they sound... how to say this politely... ah heck with it ... pretty anal.

I've moved hot tubs...the trick is make sure theyre empty first.

No @#$ Sherlock. :) This one's a thousand pounds empty, or so I'm told. Royal pain in the butt. We really could have done with a smaller one...
