Home!

I'm back! I have never been so glad to be sitting in my office at work.

The project I was sent to San Diego to coordinate is done. Done done done. We finished last night around 9pm, and this morning I dropped by the San Diego office to pack up my computer before catching a late-morning flight home.

There I got some clean clothes and scritched some kitties. Yay!

Now I'm in the office, and stressful as I have found this job to be in the past, it's incredibly relaxing to be here right now. As an extra bonus, it seems that nobody up here is blaming me at all for the fact that this took significantly longer than expected. (*I* know it's not my fault, but I also have a lot of experience being blamed for things that are not me. It's nice not to have to deal with that.)

Wow, am I ever glad to be back.

Welcome back, even though "back" is farther from me than you apparently were when away. :-) I hope all is well. It has been a while.

It sure has! How are you doing? Now I'm wishing I could have snuck away for a lunch, though I suspect we were still way too far apart for that...

I'm now working at the southern edge of Orange County, so depending on where in SD you are, it would have been 80-90 miles. On a normal day, I could make half that trip and meet you halfway. On a less busy day, I would have happily traveled to wherever you were. Let me know next time.

It is terrible that we've known each other for so long and haven't managed to meet up yet. Just terrible. The next time I have free time on my hands, I may come up there just to remedy that. Unfortunately, loads of free time seems less and less uncommon.

Cheers,
Jeff

Hey, welcome back! Good to "see" you and see that you got home safely and all that.

And hurray for not being blamed!
