This morning when I arrived at work all my computers were off. Odd, I thought; probably a power failure some time during the night; good time to do all those stooopid Windows updates. I didn't think much more of it.
When I got back to work after my afternoon appointment with the doctor, I was turned away at the door. The building was without power except for emergency lighting and there just wasn't any point to keeping people there. Given that my feet strongly prefer elevators to stairs, I declined the chance to go pick up my coat from my office. I headed toward home and used my free time to do some grocery shopping.
I'm not precisely complaining. This week is packed, and it was great to get a few extra things done. But I do hope they get it straightened out soon.
