20 lengths, 3 with the kickboard.

If I use goggles and open my eyes a lot, I start to become anxious about getting my next breath! I lose my nice horizontal pose; I tense up; suddenly I'm working way too hard. I am guessing this is a mental thing that will fade as I get used to it.

I really really hope the Y fixes the swimsuit centrifuge in the women's locker room. I wonder if they'd take special donations for the cause.

Swimsuit centerfuge? I can guess why there'd be such a thing, but I'd never heard of one, very cool!

They're definitely way cool. However, the majority of such units I have seen have been broken. (I guess that puts them in a category with light aircraft autopilots and car sunroofs.) I got spoiled because the Y had one* for a while, and now I miss it!

* Technically, they have another -- at poolside -- and they probably have one in the men's locker room as well. However, those two are not very useful to me, as I am not supposed to go to those places nekkid.

Swimsuit centrifuge? I assume you have to take the swimsuit OFF first??!?

Let me know when you'll be in there, nudge nudge wink wink.

Yes. I suppose it would really be an E-ticket ride otherwise, huh? If you could fit in there at all, that is. :-)

Nah, you take it off and I usually rinse it in the shower. Then you dump it in what looks like a teeny tiny washing machine, hold the lid closed for a handful of seconds (activating the spinner and making a heinous noise), and when you pull it out it's nearly dry. Amazing.
