Happy car

Yay, my car is gone! This means it's having new tires put on its little feet at this very moment. It will be so happy to have new tires to wear. And then it will get new oil and fluids, so it'll probably feel as good as I feel after a Thai iced tea!

How have you managed to arrange your life in such a way that discovering your car is "gone" makes you happy, and leads you to the conclusion that it will come back better than before?

I need lessons.

*laughter* I just realized how that would sound out of context!

Someone is taking it to the shop for me. I arranged that a day or two ago. She knows where I work and has a spare car key, so me discovering the car gone means that now she has come to pick it up.

Yeah, I've definitely had experiences (well, one anyway) where discovering my car gone was a VERY BAD THING. We did eventually get it back... well... most of it. It was seriously messed up.

Sometimes gettnig it back is no bonus after it has been stolen. It has never happened to me, but I've seen the after-effects on freinds' cars. It would have been better in most cases if it had been a complete write-off.
