I think that yes, those two white lines are struts reinforcing the horizontal stabilizer. The unmodified Pitts I am used to has steel cables performing that function, one above and one below on both left and right sides -- they're nearly invisible. This guy has probably beefed it up a great deal. :-)

You can't see the upper tailwheel in that image, which puzzled me; it's barely visible in this one.

But... how does he control turning of the "back" wheels? I've always thought it'd be extra cool to have turning back wheels.
