There is nothing at all to do here. (Fortunately, nothing ever quite gets around to happening, either. Events and occurrences are shipped in from New York when absolutely necessary.)

People give directions like this: "It's where the Service Merchandise used to be." "By the old water company." "It's in the old school." "Past where the car lot was." Yes, each is a real example.

Dear Santa, pleeeease send me a fresh vegetable and some lean protein.

What?? What'd I miss? You were in Louisville, KY? Damn. You were an hour and a half from me. *pouts*

isn't the midwest lovely? they roll up the sidewalks at dusk, everyone is still living 20 years ago in their heads, and anything outside or new must be bad!

too bad your trips out this way don't allow for much in the way of visits with non-family... Erica and i could've breezed in and brought all sorts of fun with us!!

Aw, man! I keep forgetting that Louisville isn't that far from some of my friends. I suppose a visit would have been awkward; once the Frenches wake up we should be there, and their day starts oh, maybe two. So if you like mornings... :-)

My view of Louisville is skewed by the fact that the only people I know there are 74 and 81! I'm sure things happen and people do stuff -- just not at that house during the holiday vacation. :-)

I do keep forgetting that you're not that far. Afternoons were spent with the Frenches, and one morning was a frantic shopping day, but if you and Erica had been free another morning that coulda worked.

Well, it could never be said that I *like* mornings. But I have two small children - I live with mornings to the best of my ability. Heh. If it meant getting a chance to "meet" you, I definitely would have arranged something!

Actually, Louisville does have some nice stuff to offer. They have a nice arts community, and...well... they have a thriving alternative birth community, but that's not really up your alley. LOL.

Do keep us in mind if you have to come back to Louisville! Actually, anything in the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana tri-state area is very reasonable driving distance.

*snort* Yeah, you are stuck with mornings for a while I'm afraid! Well, we're back in Louisville on a yearly basis. We could do a you/me/Cyd party or something!

They do indeed have arts, and horses, and lots of outstanding specialty medical care/research, and they've got bourbon for those who like that! :)
