The Jackiecat catnip & chamomile stories are most enjoyable. :)

I don't think I've ever had a cat who has smelled chamomile & reacted to it like catnip -- but they just may not have had the opportunity. I did once have a (b&w) cat, Star, who reacted to Bounce Dryer sheets & Flexall 454 residue like it was catnip... all rubs & rolls on the area of either scent. (Once she got too close to a dab of actual Flexall 454 -- that was NOT good, too strong, much foaming and annoyed rubbing as it created a burning sensation on her tender nose. Thankfully, she recovered ok.)

I thought about putting the above comment over on [livejournal.com profile] jackiecat's catnip post (linked above) but my brain is too tired to figure out how to word it to address it to her about a cat who is no longer with us. [Star lived to 16 years old. She was quite a hunter of birds in her lifetime, a natural, considering we fostered her from early kittenhood (she was found in a box in a field) without a momma cat to teach her to hunt.]

As to your cold -- feel better soon!
