I'm doing NaNo again this year. I'll limit my posting about my trials and tribulations to a specific filter, as I suspect many non-NaNo-ers wish *everyone* on LJ would do ;-).

If you want to be on it or want to be off it, holler. ([livejournal.com profile] layer, I gotcha covered.)

I want on it!
Friday, October 7th, 2005 11:43 pm (UTC)
Done! (You already were -- I'm using last year's filter.)
Friday, October 7th, 2005 11:46 pm (UTC)
thank you dear.

i'll listen

Done! (and if you regret it, I can undo it later -- no worries. I get *very* babbly.)

I wanna be on! As it is I have never gotten to read a single NoNoWriMo person's results... but I'm definitely interested. :)

Or at least... just seeing the trails and tribulations...

Anytime.
Friday, October 7th, 2005 11:53 pm (UTC)
Done! It's mostly trials and tribulations. OK, mostly whining and wordcount! :-)
Friday, October 7th, 2005 11:58 pm (UTC)
I hope I'm still on it! Love to cheer you on!
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 12:01 am (UTC)
You um... weren't. Odd. Well, you are now!

(Now I'm wondering what filter I used last year. Clearly not the one called NaNoWriMo!)

I remember you posting little worms with eyes as a counter -- I know I'm not imagining being in on all the fun!
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 12:04 am (UTC)
I'm in!
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 12:22 am (UTC)
I probably posted 'em to just about everybody!
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 12:22 am (UTC)
Done!
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 12:35 am (UTC)
On, please. I want to be able to make you another Crap Certificate again this year. ;-)

I think NanNoWriMo is going to be one of those things I stop thinking Maybe next year about - I've got waaaay too much to get done next month, and it seems like that just keeps getting worse. And once I'm back in grad school, well...

That was an EXCELLENT certificate!

Yeah, one of the things we have to do as time goes on is pick and choose. Committing to a big goal spends time and energy you then can't use for something else. It's all about what's really important to you.

(Sadly, this is one reason I haven't chosen any big goals to work on -- it's difficult for me to close the door to the things on the rest of the list!)

it's difficult for me to close the door to the things on the rest of the list!

I hear you on that one! This one is forcing a lot of smaller doors to close. Kind of makes my borrowing of the Golden Path term ring true. :-)

You MUST put me on your NaNo filter. Otherwise, I might have to, you know, KILL you.
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 12:54 am (UTC)
You were already there, no worries! I bet I know what this filter held before: people who *were doing* NaNo. It was a read filter. Now it's a write filter. Eh well. :-)
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 12:55 am (UTC)
Yeah. I suspect I haven't found mine yet. When I find it I won't mind closing the other doors.
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 12:58 am (UTC)
Mine was hiding right under my nose, apparently. :-)
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 01:15 am (UTC)
Please!
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 01:18 am (UTC)
Absolutely!
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 01:19 am (UTC)
That turn of phrase, and that icon... o.O
Saturday, October 8th, 2005 01:28 am (UTC)
Well, this icon should say it all. :-)
