It's all about me!

My birthday is in a week and a half. I have a wish list here and there, but for some reason I can never answer the question "What do you want for your birthday?" without a lot of head-scratching.

Maybe the LJ Brain Trust knows!

What do I want that I don't know I want? If you feel like answering, be wild&creative or totally serious as suits your fancy. :-)

What do you wish I had so I'd quit borrowing yours? What does my wardrobe badly need (obvious to all but me)? (Or my car, my laptop, my home decor, my bug-out bag?) What incredibly useful item do you think everyone should have? What would make me laugh? What would I treasure?

It is a good month in which to have been born, isn't it? ;-)

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
It sure is! Well, I'm sure my mother was pleased. :-)

Excellent! Thumbs up!

Why on earth would you want a birthday gift?

Last December when I actually had a party on my birthday (it was #40, so I figured I kind of had to), I warned people that anyone who brought a gift (and thereby increased the volume of stuff in the house) would be given a random box of junk from my attic in return.

Consumables, dude, consumables. :-) Chocolate and wine make GREAT gifts!

Great minds run in the same channel! I didn't look at the answers before I wrote mine, but the first four responses to the first few questions are all pretty much the same. =wry grin=

*chuckle* I guess I should have specified possible things, huh? :-)

SCHARFFENBERGER'S!

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely! And on the other end of the spectrum, Neuhaus!

Context is everything.

Actually, they're on the same end of the quality spectrum, but different ends of the raw materials/finished product spectrum.

You know, there's a Neuhaus store in downtown Seattle ... and I *will* be there next week, so -- no, never mind. Any box of Neuhaus entering an airplane with me, would exit IN me...

Exactly. Now you get to guess which spectrum I meant. :-)

Some people are surprised to hear that I adore rich dark chocolate AND I enjoy sweet creamy praline. Me, I guess I'm just a BOTH kind of person!

(and you're right -- ice cream IS fun!!)

Wow, that's quite a web site for four products! (At least, four is all I could get it to show me.) I liked the "Aloha! Where are you ordering from?" For some reason, that amused me. :)

With my own coming up, mind if I steal this idea? :-)

Go for it!
