Off the drugs

I stopped taking my post-op anti-inflams at the first opportunity. (At one week the handout says "as needed".) My desire to have a glass of wine last night had nothing to do with this decision, oh no, never. ;-) So I haven't taken one today.

My feet are toasty warm, which for me is just about as normal as being able to flap my arms and fly. My toes feel kind of tight. The low dull ache in my forefeet is just a little bit more noticeable today. I'm also starting to feel rebound pain elsewhere, which I suppose I should have expected; I always get abdominal rebound pain after anti-inflams. (Doctors tell me this is not possible.)

It's distracting to have my feet be warm enough. Unnatural, I tell you.

The anti-inflams may be upseting your GI but then killing the pain... could be causing the rebound pain....

just an idea.

This one doesn't feel like GI pain. I have chronic pain from pinched nerves in the abdomen. The tiniest amount of inflammation in my body will set it off. Coming off anti-inflams always, always, always does it. (And I often forget about that fact when I'm on them!)

eeek. no fun. Nothing to do about the pinch?

There's a surgery. Full healing can take as long as a year. I'm not quite ready for that one... But it's mostly under control these days, which is a real blessing.

always a surgery.... *sigh* a FULL year. omg. that's crazy, I suppose because they have to dig about in there.... glad it's better except when triggered...

Yeah, it's because of all the rearranging they'd have to do. UGH. For now I really can't complain! (Well ok, I CAN, but you get the idea.) You've got a lot more to deal with :-( :-( than I do...

me? nah, I get to lie in a fluffy bed all day and rest up for dinner and a couple errands. Meanwhile I blog, write, and nap....

I live the life. I do indeed.

Sounds pretty good! :-)

All I can say is thank god for a laptop and the internets.... otherwise I'd have already read every book in existance.

its frustrating, but who else gets to lay in bed all day? I mean really, no one.
