I told myself if I hit a million I wouldn't have to play it ever again.

Go you! Woo-Hoo! :-)

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
If only I were this good at USEFUL things!

[identity profile] simplykimberly.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
You're evil.

I just thought I'd mention that.

oh geez ... I have GOT to go do something useful, truly! ;)

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
I think I got this one from [livejournal.com profile] lkeele, way back in the mists of time. That means it's all her fault, really, not mine at all. ;-)

cha... bet?

[identity profile] gev.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
like you'll ever quit. I mean really.
and damn you for linking to that evil game.

I admit it's very hard to quit while I haven't yet lost the over-a-million game. I don't want to just kill that one.

Is that the one where you have 2 minutes to make as many words as possible out of 6 characters?

If so - Emmett and I have been known to tag team that game on long car trips using the palm - I'm good at figuring out the 6-letter words in my head after he reads me the characters.

Boggle or Scrabble, sometime?

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
That's the one! I'm impressed that you do them in your head. I'm not at all sure I could do that. I recognize them pretty quickly on-screen, though.

I suck at Scrabble because I haven't memorized its dictionary. I know English, not Scrabblese. How does Boggle work? You get a random pile of characters and make as many words as you can within a time limit?

[identity profile] cyan-blue.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't memorized the Scrabble dictionary, though I have learned a bunch of the obscure 2-letter words.

Boggle - it's where you have a grid of letters (4x4 or 5x5) and you have a few minutes to make as many words as you can using letters that connect. Look up the game Tangleword(s) on Playsite - same game, with a few more options.

[identity profile] cyan-blue.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
I'd be happy to play a few rounds of Tangleword if you like, tonight. (Slight chance Emmett will need my help with something, but it wouldn't take us long to do a round or two to give you the idea).

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Hi! Didn't see this until this morning. Boggle / Tangleword sound(s) fun and addictive. Perhaps I'd better not get involved in it too quickly!

*Grin*

Speaking of gaming, do you have any time free this weekend? I do, and geocaching would be fun...

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooo, I might. Sunday is empty on the calendar right now. How does Sunday look for you?

[identity profile] cyan-blue.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Sunday looks fine! Noonish?

[identity profile] cyan-blue.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure!

[identity profile] eeyore-grrl.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
conga rats!

are you gonna stick with the self deal?

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know. It's awfully hard to kill that game that's up at a million (I haven't gone ahead and lost yet). I suspect it will be pretty easy not to play for a while once I lose that one.

[identity profile] hitchhiker.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)
w00t :)

[identity profile] jupiter29.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I told myself if I hit a million I wouldn't have to play it ever again.

You know, I think I made a similar promise to God way back in my teen years, but it was about women. And I'm still in the clear for a little while. :)

Dumb joke aside, congratulations. That's Kim's favorite game, I'll have to check with her to see how high she's gotten.

[identity profile] cjsmith.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I've never broken 500K before. This was a heckuva run.

[identity profile] jupiter29.livejournal.com 2005-04-28 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Woohoo. Good for you. I've only played once or twice (except over her shoulder) but I have a feeling my scores would suck. I simply lack the willpower to sit there and find all the little words. I just play until I have the six-letter word and know I can play the next level and then my attention kind of wanders. :(
