Best spam filter rule yet: ditch anything with a vertical bar anywhere in the subject!

I am also thinking of ditching anything with a zero in the subject. Maybe I'll narrow it down so that it only drops the message if the zero is surrounded by letters, that is, zero masquerading as 'o' so as to get the message past other spam filters. If I never see the word hydr0c0d0ne again it'll be fine with me. Same for the number 1 masquerading as 'l'.

(After some very aggressive spam filtering, I still receive a couple hundred spam a day. Until I can get rid of the problematic address entirely, tricks like this matter to me.)

I just don't understand who would buy that stuff from a spammer anyway.

I've just started using SpamBouncer to filter my mail. In a week, out of ~3300 messages (yeah, I get a lot of mail), it's yanked out about 1300 as spam, and only 10 of those were false positives. I've had a couple of dozen sneak through, but I like those numbers.

It's a great joy to wake up in the morning, open my mail client, and *not* have 30 or 40 spams sitting in the Inbox.

that vertical bar is known as a 'pipe'.
what is preventing you from ditching this 'problematic address'?
