1.2 miles yesterday morning, with a pad just as big around but less thick than design number two. Much more comfortable to run with these. Sadly, not as effective. Mild aches in neuromas on right foot continuing through to today.

(Design number three is a circle of molefoam about the size of a quarter. The previous design had that as a base and then a smaller piece of molefoam stuck onto the first layer.)

Lazy CJ: haven't called doctor to inquire whether anyone makes these. Someone who makes them might have a good design... probably for a men's size 8 foot, of course.

Are footrubs helpful?

Oddly enough, much as I like footrubs, they don't seem to do much for the inflamed nerves. Several neuroma-related websites seemed to claim that they would, so perhaps I simply have not experimented enough. :-)

Have you browsed sites like FootSmart (http://www.footsmart.com) or done a google search for specialty pads yet?

It's good to have friends. 8-)

I had looked at FootSmart before, when doing the search that gave me the idea for metatarsal pads. These guys make E-@#$!ING-NORMOUS metatarsal pads! I can't even handle two layers of molefoam! But maybe there's some thinner stuff in there, too. I'm browsing that now.
