This morning I cut circles out of molefoam, a bit bigger than a quarter, and centered them behind the third metatarsal (my neuromas are on either side of that one). I made a little piece to thicken the pad and stuck that on top.

I ran 1.2 miles with these. No neuroma pain, I think. These pads make an entirely different area of my foot ache a bit. Much better than the first set, though. I have hope I can get a good design.

Next: the stress test. If these pads work, I should be able to pound hell out of my feet and have much less nerve pain than expected. If they don't work, and I damage a nerve a bit, what am I losing? My backup plan is to KILL the thing.

My stress test will be 1.6 miles (which I've done successfully before) followed the next day by 1 or 1.2 miles. If that works, even with minor pain, these pads are sent by God himself.
