I'm a little behind
(Hey, hush; this is the only context in which I can claim it, all right?)
4047 today. Need 8000 to be on track, given the days I'm out of town. Ungood. This weekend better be verrrry productive, as it's one of only two I have this month. Here's my poor little worm, still eyeless:
On the positive side, I finished Pimsleur Japanese I lessons 8 and 9 last night, or maybe it was 9 and 10. Yeah, 9 and 10. If I could only remember the word for "lunch" when they ask it I would be doing beautifully. As it is, I'm doing Mostly Really Good.
Sadly my cat is sick. If I wind up going to the vet a few times this month, I will drop NaNo. I have my priorities.

I can't do several of the sounds perfectly either. But I figure that's not terribly important to being understood. (And mainly I'm not doing it to be understood, but to be able to understand more of the spoken language.)

I'm probably pronouncing things well enough to be understood, so that'll be okay. I don't have to impress anyone with my beautiful accent. I just have to find the right train.
You're doing this so you can listen to audio in Japanese, right? Has your comprehension of what you hear increased noticeably after a chunk of Pimsleur?

I love it when that happens! It's like magic. :-)
