OK, they've left.
The additionally funny thing is that I don't usually read subjects on lj posts by habit. I read just the line and laughed first, thinking that was unintentionally funny, before realizing that it was intentionally funny.

Why can't engineers tell jokes? Timing.
At a party over the weekend, one reader of this journal "got it" for the first time when it was spoken aloud. :-)
