Metatarsal pads

I'm starting to wonder if I should create a foot filter, so that those of you who are heartily sick of hearing about my feet can opt out.

I carved some padding out of moleskin and molefoam, stuck them to my feet, and ran 1.2 miles with those this morning.

I need to get a lot better at carving the right shape. Those were ANNOYING! The corner poked into the ball of the big toe, yadda yadda. I'll learn.

Can you make or have made a template that fits properly that you can use to make your padding? Is anything commercially available that works?

I'm using this set as a template for the next. I'll tweak stuff until it's okay. (If, as I mused in a previous post, I've "lost the summer" anyway, then I have LOTS of time to try this and get it right.)

I know of nothing commercially available, but I would be surprised if NO one makes this sort of thing, so I'll keep looking.
