On and off seemingly forever, but I now have a foot problem -- neuromas (benign but painful nerve tumors) -- which acts a lot like an overuse injury. Because patience isn't exactly my strong suit, building up my distance again is going to be a long slow process!
Depends on the stray cosmic rays. A month or so ago I would sometimes go only twenty steps before I had to hobble back home. Some days it comes on late in the afternoon of a day when I ran in the morning. Sometimes I get dull pain lasting a few days, and that's how I know that during the previous two or three days I overdid it.
I want a little "Stop Now" idiot-light on each foot. :-)
