I love waking up early. Sometimes it just happens - I wake up two hours earlier than normal, having had much less sleep than I think I need, and I feel fine. This morning I spent a couple of hours relaxing around the house before I went in to work. Had a cup of tea, scritched the cats, cleaned up a little, read part of a book, got caught up on e-mail and LJ, renewed my ham radio license... just all sorts of stuff. Lovely morning. :-)

Now to continue that trend here in the office. Productive, that's the word of the day: productive. Here I go.

I like those kinds of mornings, too :-)

Wow, I'd love one of those. :) Maybe I'll wake up "too early" more often when I don't have an alarm.

Found your journal through a mutual friend. Looks like there might be some interests in common. Mind if I friend you?

Feel free! For future reference, anyone who wants to friend me is welcome to friend me. CJ's journal is a block party. :-)

AAAAAAA you have "µcode" in your interests list! I will steal that in a hot nanosecond if it's okay with you. I'm an embedded systems programmer - you?

All good with me. Yep, embedded systems, Scenix, PICs, 8051s, Atmels, 8260s, the occasional FPGA, you name it, if I haven't played with it yet I want to. =)

Oh COOL. expresspcb, hmm? I've never designed a board, only worked with stuff others have designed. Intriguing...

(and yeah, our name for I2C is "TWI", too, here at my work. heh.)

Expresspcb is cool if your designs are simple and you don't mind hand routing your traces. Their tool doesn't autoroute, and they don't publish specs for their file formats. Somewhere at the bottom of my "things to do when I'm really bored" list is reverse engineering their file format. Then I (or someone else) could do an autorouter. Haven't been that bored yet though.
