Shoooooooooes!

Saturday, after going to see the trailer Rick was going to buy, we went and got me shooooooooes! My old ones had big holes in the soles, y'see, big enough and deep enough that if I walked on wet ground my socks would immediately be soaked. Since I'm very hard to fit, there's only one store where I can buy shoes at all, and it's 30 minutes drive from here, so I just hadn't gotten around to it... but since it's been pouring down rain, I've been walking on the outside edges of my feet all the time (very awkward and slow) so as to avoid getting soaked... Anyhow, I'm very pleased. I have shoes!

For the rest of the weekend, whenever I was outside, I kept walking around saying "Look! I can put my whole foot down! I have shooooooooes!" :-)

Boy, do I know what youre talking about. THe sides of my shoes 'blow out' after a few weeks and the bottoms wear quick too. EEEEE width'll do that. Hard to fit, are you? I can relate.

Know what they say about gys with wide feet?

They wear wide shoes!

Yeah, I've "blown out" the sides on quite a few pairs of shoes myself.

They wear wide shoes!

(grin!!)

yay! Shoes that fit and that can keep out the rain are one of life's greatest pleasures. Enjoy!

Yah! One time when I was joyfully exclaiming about my dry feet, Rick said "It's amazing the different things people take for granted." :-)

"Shuz", with a cutesy line over the u. Used to be Robert Krohn. They carry the weird styles of Ecco shoes, the ones that never get into malls (more's the pity -- I was in a mall almost a year ago and could have bought some if they'd had any). Shuz also has a robust collection of Reiker and some Sanitas I thought I'd never see again. Pricey as all get-out, but I do like having shoes, so...
