Bought two file cabinets the other day. Two trips to Office Depot; only one (two-drawer) cabinet fits in my car at a time. They're the right color, they're functional... but one of them had an empty rectangular cutout where the name HON should be.

I was unhappy that the little metal "nametag" was missing. The top front of the cabinet didn't look right without it. I searched through the cardboard box and all packing materials. I briefly considered stealing the "nametag" from one of my other filing cabinets, perhaps one that was going to wind up in the ugly storage room, but that wouldn't be satisfying. I briefly considered writing to the Hon company for a replacement, but that seemed awfully silly. I wondered if I could find a nametag on a file cabinet someone was about to throw away, like maybe an Office Depot floor model that had been kicked around so badly it was unsalable. Not likely.

I was breaking down the box when, from between two layers of cardboard, a tiny metal rectangle fell out with a clink. It's my HON nametag! Now I just need to wedge it into place!

I am way disproportionately pleased.

I found that amusing. Partly because it was just plain funny and partly because I would have been the same way. eheheh

I have no idea how that feels. Nope, not me.

I'm the person who kept the little cover that went over the travel charger outlet on my first phone.

But, you're weird. Yup, it's just you ;-)

Oh, you're definitely the weird one.

I won't mention that I still have the little cover that goes over the travel charger outlet on my phone. No, only you would keep such a thing. ;-)

Isn't it amazing? For some reason we think nobody else would care about a detail that small... but people do. Maybe lots of people.

I mashed the little aluminum tag into place and now my file cabinet is all happy :-)
