Spring has sprung

I think BOTH cats horked last night. I had eight lovely spots to clean this morning. Eight. Fortunately I'm getting better; I can clean one and have no trouble with the bite of breakfast in my mouth.

Aaah, the roof guy is here! Now that he's set up, I can go run.

I wasn't aware that cat horking was a sign of spring. Hmmm, spring hasn't sprung here yet, then, as our cat hasn't horked. *sigh*

What ever happened to the first robin of spring?

I don't know which post is more surreal today, yours -- this one -- or this one (http://www.livejournal.com/community/_dreamland_/26916.html)

*chuckle* In my house it is, as both cats are long-haired and when they do the spring shedding thing they're much more prone to hairballs. Duchess horks all the time, but when Jackie does it, it's spring.

(Odd, 'cause they're 100% indoor cats, so it's not temperature that's triggering the shedding - maybe longer daylight?)

Your (er, [livejournal.com profile] rosefox's) post DEFINITELY wins the surreality contest! By a mile!

Ernie used to do that no matter what I did. Most often, though, when he bolted his food for some reason. That on top of the incipient hairballs was a real problem, apparently. The other cats we've had (both shorthair), it seemed to be related to something they ate outdoors (obviously not a problem for your indoor-only kitties).

Sylvia, OTOH, seems to be peeing for entertainment recently. It's either that or she's really peeved at Allegra (which is most certainly possible). She peed in Allegra's bed twice today. *sigh* Akien just ordered a ScatMat online.

Ummm, we have these cats because we LOVE them, right? I just needed some reminding.... ;^)

Yeah, I've had outdoor cats who would throw up only if they ate too much grass, or the wrong kind. Poor Duchess is simply cursed with way too full a coat. She has constant hairball trouble.

Bummer about Sylvia. Pissing cats are a true annoyance. It does sound to me like she's ticked at Allegra. Beds and shoes, those are the "you pissed me off" signals. You have my sympathy! :-(

Do I ever know THAT feeling! Fortunately, the little devils do have their endearing qualities!
