Ooo IMHO the title borders on sensationalism (This from the guy who knows going in that NY Post headlines are sensationalism but always laughs the NY Post cover of "Headless body found in topless bar"...that is a no kidding, actual headline)
The author gets just enough right that I wish I could somehow yell at him about misrepresenting the rest of it.
Regardless of how much is correct, it sounds like is misrepresenting most of it (again IMHO, I haven't read the article)
And sorry, no, test-flying an aerobatic airplane without a parachute isn't machismo, it's stupidity.
Did they say this...*bangs head against desk*. Would be like me going on the 47 footers out here in the Bay and NOT wearing a exposure suit. Your right that is just stupidity.
I know it takes alot but sounds like you should call them on what is wrong with the article. I get the feeling from your post that it is an article (factual or not) that is there to "drive up sales". I have always admired anyone who can fly aerobatics. Like astronauts, they have the "butt in the seat behind the stick time" to know what they are doing.
Call them on it.
"One Mistake and You're Dead," reads the title.
