A milestone!
By running three miles yesterday, I have now tested my mettle, proven myself worthy, graduated to the next level. Today I got to run
gs's course.
That's three miles long, "maybe just a little over" he says, and today we ran it in... oh shoot, I'm forgetting already: 38 minutes? The first mile was about eleven minutes, end of second mile was 24.5, so we were clearly slowing down.
Near the end I was thinking that if I really really had to, I could do that same run over again immediately afterward. I'd be slower, certainly. But I felt as if I could keep running for six miles. That's a good feeling more than a month before the race.
(Now for some FOOD!)
