Never,
never ever ever,
no matter how desperate you are,
try to take pills with champagne.
(Especially big honkin' glucosamine-and-chondroitin pills. And especially, ESPECIALLY, garlic. You don't want to know what a garlic and champagne burp tastes like. Trust me.)
In other news, I am very pleased that Domaine Chandon "Cuvee Brut" champagne appears to age well. I've had that @#$! bottle for many years and by rights it should have been vinegar. It's lovely. Anyone who arrives at my house in the next fifteen minutes gets to help me finish it. After that I'll be asleep :-)
