I enjoyed seeing the full moon last night. This beautiful full moon photo was taken June 14, 2003. It took me a long time to realize that's not tomorrow.

I do not know what is going on with my sleep patterns. Usually I am somewhat flexible, but since two weeks ago I've been waking up between 6:30 and 7:15 in the morning no matter what. I can try to sleep in past that point, but it doesn't work. Odd. I'd think I'd be tired. Last night I went to sleep at 2:30AM. Not that I didn't have a good reason.

Last night I was trying to figure out what I had to do today. I kept getting confused about whether "tomorrow" was Sunday or Monday. I have a better reason than usual for this kind of confusion: this time, both answers are right. I'm going to front-load my jet lag and today, er tomorrow, is the day. My next sleep is Monday at 4PM. (That ought to sort out the 6:30AM wake up issue.)

Right now I can remember something I did yesterday, and I am also pretty sure that I will soon forget almost everything except the fact it occurred. Several factors: 1) it's unusual and therefore a little not-quite-real-seeming already, 2) I was slightly sleep-deprived at the time, 3) within 48 hours I'm going to do nine hours of sleep rotation and be extremely fried, and 4) I'm going to shift focus to become heavily immersed in completely unrelated stuff for quite a while.

I know I lost a lot of memory detail around the time of our departure for Sweden and Norway. Rob lost more - he forgot (to the point that he would have denied) that one particular event had ever happened, and he was very weirded out when enough corroborating detail showed up and his memory resurfaced.

Anyhow, it's weird having the memory now and not knowing how much I'll have by Tuesday morning.
