My life doesn't suck

Yesterday:

Lovely run with gs in the morning. 4.5 mi, 47:something.
Spent the day with joedecker, including an Inventors' Lunch with fun conversation, exploring an art gallery and framing place in Palo Alto, sitting in a hot tub, and just generally lots of talking. We'd arranged this a few days ago, and when my hot tub failed to get repaired in time, his house was the obvious choice 8-). Good to catch up with him. Good to sit in a hot tub. Good to have Gatorade nearby. Good to have wonderful kitties to greet and scritch.
Late in the evening, back home, sat next to the fire and got my calves rubbed. Rob is a sweetie.

Today:

Happy Beltane!
5 miles, 55:12. Did have a little energy left for a last ten-second sprint.
Soon, lunch with gs.
This evening, square dance calling.

Rob is cool

Rob showed me his logbook yesterday evening. It has entries in a brand new column: As Flight Instructor. Two point eight hours yesterday. He's a working flight instructor now!

One lesson was a very first lesson for a primary student. The other was a second opinion for a guy who wanted to know if he was ready for his own CFI checkride.

Rob was very tired. He says "Everything you hear is right: they all try to kill you."

I'm proud of him.
