Spent the day at a C4-level square dance dance labeled "impossible". Personally, I labeled it "terror" for its intimidating description.
Turns out I did just as well there as I do at tape group!
Good. Pleased. Confirms my theory that I have trouble with the stuff most folk find easy, and I find easy the things most folk find difficult. I'm new, so I don't do stunningly well at either yet, but solely based on comparison to others I'm already quite good at the supposedly-hard stuff -- some day, with enough repetition, I will get the hang of the supposedly-easy stuff and I'll then be a real asset to any square I'm in. Looking forward to that level of experience and skill. Practice, practice, practice.
We all hung out at the house of the dancer who lives closest, and there I snarfed down two glasses of wine, so now I'm typing not as well as I usually do. :-) (Delicious Zinfandel. My apologies to Joe for mentioning this. Is there any hope that soon...?)
Now I get to be lazy for the rest of the evening.
