I'm in a sour mood today. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. [stomp stomp stomp]

Knowing that this is at least half my own fault doesn't, unsurprisingly enough, make the bad mood go away or make it any easier to take. It just adds frustration. According to some, that means I need therapy. Heh. I could benefit from it, but that's not among my reasons why.

Quote of the day: "Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die." --Malachy McCourt

T-shirt of the day: Bad Attitude

I'm reminded of a Calvin & Hobbes comic strip wherein Calvin is radiating bad-mood-ness when he comes across a snoozing Hobbes. Calvin demands Hobbes get out of his way, generally making an ass of himself. Hobbes slowly gets up and calmly dumps Calvin in a mud puddle. Calvin's response: "SEE WHY I'M IN A BAD MOOD??"

Even when I'm in my worst moods ever, that strip can make me laugh.

I got blood drawn today and I only got the FAINTEST of signs of being woozy, sweaty, dizzy, etc. Woohoo! I am counting that as a major success. (Not that I have the slightest clue what I did.)

If this trend continues, some day I'll be able to have blood drawn when I'm sitting up. :-)

It was very strange to watch the end of my bad mood. I went through a few stages in rapid succession: grumpy, grumpy and aware of it, grumpy and patiently waiting for it to pass, grumpy and kind of amused by it... then I went immediately to "what a great day, let's get some work done". And that was before food! Food didn't do this one!

Emotions can be pretty darn weird. Speaking of which, there's no mood icon for befuddled.

Rob says I make a good copilot / first officer. For example, on an instrument approach in IMC I will call out important things as they become visible through the haze. (This information may change how low he is allowed to descend. If I am the one looking out the window, he doesn't have to divert his attention from the guages as often.) He likes that I know to do this without being asked.
