These "survival kits" are cute. What would you put in one for your own profession or hobby?

This one's lifted from [livejournal.com profile] abz6598.

What's in your freezer: Ice packs for injuries, some sherbet, empty ice cube trays, probably a very old TV dinner or two.

What would you consider your theme song to be: Something classical, with one burbly-cheerful movement, one incredibly melancholy movement, and one energetic kick-butt movement. Maybe with some choral bits. I'll have to think more on this.

What's the first CD that you own that pops into your head: I cheated, I looked at the stack of 'em sitting here. "Matriarch" by Joanne Shenandoah.

And DVD?: I own no DVDs.

What's sitting on top of your monitor: The switchbox to connect it to any of three computers. On the switchbox: a fox thighbone, a tiny white tiger, a wooden biplane.

What does your bed look like: Queen size, currently unmade; white sheets and a white/forest-green/brown quilt. A cat, 'cept I kicked her off the bed this morning so I could close up the room while I'm out of town.

What's hanging on the walls in your room: Three gorgeous pictures of waterfalls.

What's in your CD player right now: Nothing in any of the computers right here. Car: five miscellaneous classical collections and Faith Hill "Breathe".

What's the first website you have bookmarked: Aviation Weather Center.

What's the first site you go to in the morning: LJ.

What's the most expensive thing you've bought recently: A handcarved opal puppy.

What are you saving up money for: Flying. Acro, instrument, 737... don't know what just yet but it's going to involve airplanes.

What worries you: Growing old.

What 'unexpected' thing has recently occurred in your life: Most things are pretty much expected. I guess the car air conditioning sudden death was unexpected.

What is the first thing you do when you get home: Dump all my junk, grab the mail, pet the cats.

What's under your bed: A wide variety of sex toys and no few dust bunnies.

What are you looking forward to doing: Riding in a balloon!

5 Things I Must Stop Doing:
Staying up late to read books
Putting off bringing my car in for service
Playing timesuck games like Collapse or Text Twist
Wearing jeans with holes in them
(can't think of a fifth right now)

5 Things I Must Start Doing:
Exercising more
Eating right
Getting motivated at work, or looking for a better job
Meditating
Saying no

Today's Friday Five, as [livejournal.com profile] redgrrl's post reminds me

1.What's the last vivid dream that you remember having? I was about to have sex with someone, but first the two of us had to leave the room we were in. When I opened the door to the hallway, lots of people were standing there, including one who was so tall that all I could see were jeans-clad legs taller than the doorway. (Upon awakening, I did wonder where I thought that guy's torso and head were.) I shut the door so we could both get dressed and we just made it in time for the people to come into the room. The tall legs must have decided to go somewhere else.

Most of my sexual dreams are like this, whether the dream has me with a friend or with a stranger or leaning against the washing machine: the activity gets interrupted for one reason or another. That can get a little frustrating.

2.Do you have any recurring dreams? No, but I have themes that recur. One is being chased by unspecified bad guys. Another is flying (without an airplane). Another is fighting, just plain hand-to-hand stuff; went through a lot of that while taking BAMM's basics course.

3.What's the scariest nightmare you've ever had? There was one in which my sister had died, but that was more sad than terrifying. During school I had a few forgot-the-final and in-class-without-clothes-on type stuff.

4.Have you ever written your dreams down or considered it? Why or why not? Considered it, but it's too much effort and I don't see much point.

5.Have you ever had a lucid dream? What did you do in it? My dreams tend to become lucid whenever I don't like what's going on in them. Then I decide to make different things happen, either by remembering that in dreams I can just fly away, or by concentrating and turning the environment or the people's actions into completely different things.
