LJ has unimproved itself minorly again

The full-featured update page no longer shows checkboxes for possible custom friends lists. If I want a post to be shown only to a subset of my friends, I must choose "Custom..." in the Security Level menu, update my journal, then come back to edit the entry. Once I'm editing an entry for which Security=Custom has been chosen, the checkboxes appear and I can choose WHICH friends list.

Suboptimal. Inconvenient. How much you wanna bet if I mention it to support people, not only will nothing change, but they won't even read most of what I write when explaining the issue? (snide? me? never!)

Time to become a developer, perhaps. I hadn't yet because a) time vs. money is an easy choice for me, so I paid ahead for a while instead and b) it's just sooooo accessible and easy to figure out how to get started on it (the time issue, again). But I doubt I could get my money back, so maybe I better become able to fix some of the minor stupidities.

Or maybe I'll just sit around and gripe.
