My mom bought something for Rob for Christmas and had Amazon ship it to me at work. Apparently, someone is confused. The package arrived at a different office building (of my company) in a different town. The address, which was perfectly correct for my office building, had been scribbled over by the time it arrived.
I get to go pick that up this afternoon. The other building's mail room guy and I made contact yesterday and arranged that.
Then this morning I got a phone call from a very polite gentleman who lives in the town where I work. Apparently another package addressed to me at work was delivered to his apartment complex. The addresses are SIMILAR, but hello, did some mailperson clue in that the apartment complex was residential and this address had the business name in big letters? Well, as luck would have it, he is the only Smith in the complex, so the box went to him. Given my company name on the address, he found my phone number, so I went by to pick that one up this morning.
I have decided that I have a mail jinx. If anyone sends me a letter bomb, I won't be the one to die.
