Alone. Whether Rob is in the house or not, I am alone. Alone alone alone alone alone. Except for the cats.

When I look at the word "alone" too much, it looks weird, like it shouldn't be a real word at all. Or it should be pronounced very differently, perhaps to rhyme with "Monet" or "Ahwanee".

Godiva chocolates are yummy. I just ate a truffle with marzipan in it.

Photo progress: Labeling done up to the beginning of May 2001, plus all of 2002. Still not done: Paris, Signal Officer Basic Course, the rest of 2001.

Combed Duchess yet again. No hairballs for more than a week. Hope to keep this up.

I could make big changes in my life. I could just... decide. It would mean a lot of planning and rethinking, especially if a substantial change in financial status is involved, but all it would take is me saying "I will do this". But my stomach does flip-flops when I think about it.

The blister near my right heel is still pretty noticeable.

Uh-oh. I recognize this state of mind (having been a stay-at-home mommy for two years in a row). Quick, get out! Get out of the house!! Talk to adults!! Go to lunch! Attend a lecture!!

Oh. And music and/or television helps too, when you're home. Silence is much more eerie than noisy aloneness.

I recognize this post, too, having written very similar stuff before! Sorry you're feeling this way, Ceej. Wish I lived closer -- I'd bring over a big old bottle of wine (it has nothing to do with the fact that it's going to be only 28 degrees out here today, really it doesn't! ::grin::).

I've had the same lonliness also (even while being on maternity leave with Alan). I went out shopping as my cure...even just a walk around a mall, museum, park should lift your spirits.

Cats do make good listeners. A purring kitty can improve a bad mood. Being on the PC with a purring kitty on lap is a good thing.
