I'd like to see a game show based on how fast a person can eat a Taco Bell Taco Supreme without letting a single chunk of tomato, shred of lettuce, piece of cheese, dollop of sour cream or crumb of ground beef fall to the paper wrapper below. It's illegal to hold your hand underneath the taco to catch stuff, but putting your face under there is fair game. Bonus points if, before the contestant picks up the taco, the two sides of the taco shell diverge at an angle of more than twenty degrees.

LOL! Dare I ask what inspired this wonderful idea? :-)

Man, I can't even eat a regular taco without dropping lettuce and tomatoes all over myself (or on my plate if I'm leaning over like a good girl ought).

This would be totally funny.

Today's lunch. :-)

Actually, for years I've given myself that challenge. Some days I'm quite good at it and other days I better just go get a fork. There's variation in how full the tacos are, how low my blood sugar is (I get shaky), how broken the shell is when I start, how widely angled the shell is, how squishy the tomato chunks are...

I think it would be funny to try to see people do this fast. I'd try. I'd make a mess of my face, but I might keep the wrapper clean.

Ever eaten a pomegranate? Maybe we could save those for season two.

I cheat. I eat the Double Decker Supreme (no relation to Joe, as far as I know). The soft outer layer helps keep everything together when the crispy inner sheath crumbles. Stuff still has a tendency to ooze out the ends though.

I agree, it helps if I place my face underneath.

I forgot what we're talking about again...

Pomegranates are a lot more manageable than tacos, IME :) They cohere a lot better.

I have enough problems with the regular taco. I'm thinking of switching to soft shell - keeps it all wrapped up. :-)

Something crumbles? You guys like it rougher than I do!

No Soft Tacos, I suppose?
