Friendship embodied in food

I just got a whole bunch of chocolate chip cookies in the mail. They came with a touching, thoughtful card. I could just cry. Okay, I am crying.

My friend is the sweetest wonderfullest human being on the face of the earth.

Thanks.

*sniffle*

Whee! You got them! I found out this weekend that you were the lucky recipient, and I was eagerly awaiting your response. Isn't she wonderful indeed?

She is absolutely freekin terrific.

I gave one cookie each to the people on my team here at the office, and the rest are MINE.

Awww! That's so sweet!
What a wonderful surprise that must have been.

I sure was surprised! She said the lucky recipient had eaten her baking before, and it took me a while to remember that I had, so for quite some time I figured it was definitely not me. :-) I figured maybe someone closer to her geographically, someone I didn't know from W30s or LJ... :-)

I sure am! And I'm enjoying the sentiment twice as much as that. :-)

yay!!!! they made it!! *bouncing up and down*

glad you liked the cookies. i'd have preferred to send hugs, but i couldn't find the right-sized box. i'll just have to figure out a way to deliver one in person

Yes indeed, they made it! And before the holiday, too. I didn't notice them immediately because the box was hard to see in the dark. Then when I shone the flashlight on it and saw your return address, I was surprised big time! I knew you were sending cookies to someone but I never would have guessed they were going to me! :-) :-)

And the card was just... perfect.

That was super. Thanks. You are the bestest friend.
