9. Looking back on my life and realizing it was empty

1. Fart jokes
2. Rob's sense of humor
3. Douglas Adams's sense of humor
4. Scott Adams's sense of humor (and ability to point out the ridiculous in the everyday)
5. Dave Barry's sense of humor (and ability to point out the ridiculous in the everyday)
6. jackiecat attacking a random air molecule
7. Random stupidity, sometimes
8. A dog trying to get peanut butter off his tongue
9. The goofy things people say while square dancing at a tape group

Nine Things That Make Me Cry:
1. Breakups
2. Seeing a cat killed on the road
3. Seeing an animal that has no time left at a shelter
4. When my illusions pop
5. Having the slightest thing go wrong when I am way too tired and way too hungry
6. Losing something that was once wonderful (see #1)
7. Realizing that something wonderful was really never there (see #4 and sometimes #1)
8. Having just a glimpse of something I really really want
9. Missing Princess or Critter, my beloved kitties (see #6)

1. A window overlooking the parking garage ramp
2. Two black flashlights labeled as property of the company I worked for (before the acquisition)
3. A small gray bookshelf with lots of technical books
4. My soft green microfiber jacket
5. Lots of empty glass bottles for recycling
6. Three computers
7. My cellphone and an extra battery, both charging
8. A bag of bite-size Milky Way Midnights, left over from Halloween
9. An AOPA wall calendar with airplane pictures

Nine Facts About Me:
1. I don't handle conflict well -- I dread it and try to avoid it, making things worse.
2. I will not be a doormat; I will leave first.
3. I have strong emotions, although I often don't display them strongly.
4. The pain I am in every month almost drove me to suicide more than once when I was younger.
5. I have the best dad in the universe.
6. I am smarter than I look.
7. I adore cats.
8. I can't decide whether to have very long hair or very short hair.
9. I often don't finish things I start.

Nine Things I'd Like To Do Before I Die:
1. Be seen by the people around me as a real human being
2. Get off the planet -- in orbit, to the moon, any of that would be wonderful
3. Own, and fly well, an aerobatic plane
4. See Ireland and Scotland; see India; see Egypt again
5. See the northern lights; see the midnight sun; see the green flash at sunset; see a total solar eclipse
6. Climb a mountain
7. Hike the Grand Canyon again
8. Learn more languages
9. Love and be loved
