Frustration
I have gotten nothing done today. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. I looked through some stuff that I am hoping to use for my current project. Get anywhere?...no. I called around to make backpacking reservations. Reach a human?...no.
Yesterday I had a somewhat short day at work because I was heading up to SF to see a friend's slideshow of his recent trip. We stayed too long, even with rushing through the pictures, and as a result I didn't even get enough SLEEP last night. Worst of all worlds: short work day, rushed the slideshow, skimped on sleep. Today I have to leave work right on time because it's my wedding anniversary, and I'm supposed to go do something romantic, but of course it has to involve being home and being decent because we have houseguests arriving tonight. Worst of all worlds again: whatever we do won't be really great, but I won't be able to work either, nor do any of the errands that are piling up.
Gawd I need a vacation. Heck, I even just need a full night's sleep. My current schedule doesn't have space for one of those until Labor Day.
I think it's time to catch the flu.

If I breathe on you, maybe I can give you sciatica...
This made me laugh out loud! Thanks, I needed that! I'm sorry to hear you have sciatica though. Ouch.

I hope you get a break soon.

Sorry to hear of all the rest of the trials and tribulations. :^( I understand about the frustration of not getting anything done, believe me!

Fortunately I am doing a bit better today.

Here's hoping you get some sleep and relaxation really soon!

Wen, you are TOO MUCH! :-) :-) That was perfect! I needed the laugh!
Hey, I know -- if *you* fly halfway across the country, I'll meet you there and we can have a glass of wine and forget all our piled-up, not-getting-done errands for awhile! :)
Oh, TOO tempting. I haven't had a nice relaxing glass of wine in ages! Tell ya what, Wen, this weekend, drink one for me, 'k?

One 'o' these days, I *am* going to get out to the west coast and meet you. I swear!
I haven't had a nice relaxing glass of wine in ages! Tell ya what, Wen, this weekend, drink one for me, 'k?
CJ, I think you can *count* on that! LOL!!!

That would be wonderful! Or maybe when I am rich and idle, I will come visit you. Watch that stock market. :-) :-)
CJ, I think you can *count* on that! LOL!!!
Great! Are you taking drinks orders? Right now I'm warm and a bit thirsty, so a crisp chilled Chardonnay would be great. Later on I'll be in the mood to relax with food, so a Zin or a Cab... or maybe a nice Pinot Noir with lamb. If you drink everything I think about, Rick will have to carry you home!

The next time you come by Boston, remind me to ply you with some of the wines I have cellared away. I've got some really nice Alsace wines, both some Reislings and some Gewurtztraminer, that are excellent!
