Bits and Pieces

(ends do two O circulates and trade, centers peel and trail and ah so)

Wups, got distracted there.

This morning: up too early, too stressed to sleep. Hate when that happens. Dealt with a bunch of catalogs that had been piled in the family room for way too long. Scritched kitties a bit more than I usually get to do in the morning. Kitties are wonderful.

Tiring workout today. Instead of two sets of "as much as you can do in two minutes" I got one set of "as much as you can do in three minutes". Far worse, to my surprise. I think my next goal will be a run. I am advised to do no more than 5K right now because my knees won't handle more. It's good to have the guideline. Reassuring. I asked whether it was possible I would ever be able to do something like a marathon. The answer is it depends on how much cartilege degeneration I have already, and of course even if that turns out to be okay I'd have to work like the dickens. I will think about this. The great thing about Half Dome as a goal is that it was something I could have been convinced would never be possible for me. A marathon would be that way too.

Hungry. Gym days are rough that way: "breakfast" (a Power Bar eaten at 8:30 or so) and lunch (often as late as 1PM) are too far apart.

I hear I am dancing some C4 Saturday night, with folks in LA. I'm down there to call a weekend for a group in that area. Some nice people are putting together a group to dance C4 to tapes during a time I'm not calling. Better study. When??

To do:
- Prepare for calling weekend (sort through written material, pack, study C4)
- BILLS!! do not put this off one more day you silly person!
- Write some C4 for a short, trial-shot kind of guest appearance in November
- Study Swedish (At least I'm getting the hang of the intonations)
- Get some work done

Uh, yeah. Speaking of that last item, here I go.

I was with you up to the point you called Ah So....

Ah So is like recycle, except the original centers retain the handhold with the original ends, thus only turning around a total of 180 degrees; whole thing ends in miniwaves. There, now you know Bits And Pieces, a C4 call I can only remember when I am not on the dance floor. :-)
