I *love* the "solid research and nuanced analysis" concept. This is what I'd like to pay subscription money to support. (If I depend on ad revenue to support what I want to see, I eventually get more and more of the type of stuff that is best supported by ad revenue and less and less of the type of stuff that is not well supported by ad revenue.)
