These authors are prolific in this field, yes!

I myself don’t own any of these books, but I could enjoy just browsing through them. They remind me of certain people - foodies, yes, intrigued by culture, and also able bodied, pain free, no food sensitivities, comfortable cushions of disposable income. I could imagine such a person bouncing around the globe following a book such as one of these. It would be an interesting way to spend a couple of years.

I think it was the family in Mali that was obviously polygamous which got my attention. They seemed to be eating a pretty healthy diet of natural foods, but both women had to put in a lot of work every day to make the meals happen. At least they had each other to help.

Food preparation is such an enormous percentage of the total effort expended by humanity overall. It’s mind boggling when I stop to think about it.

Some of us find it fun, so it's easy to forget that it is work.

Well, at least those of us in the USA are mostly not spending many hours a day grinding grain by hand or something. :/
