All right, you caught me: yes, I have had at least two glasses of sangria. And yes, it was at work. Yes, I am going to be staying put for a little while. Oh, okay, okay, yes, I also told this joke to 'most all my coworkers. I wasn't even drunk yet. THEY weren't even drunk yet. *sigh*

OK, that one is awful! I admit I laughed though. Again, the humor is in the expectation mismatch, but the tension buildup with nothing to resolve the story is mean. :-)

yeah, i've had all sorts of reactions, ranging from "brilliant, brilliant joke" to "groan" to "huh? where's the joke?". i fall into the "brilliant" category myself - it was really well done :)
