Day 8: Hair

I have short hair now. (Yes, everybody who keeps telling me what I should do, I did donate to Locks of Love.)

Need new user icons.

Also, a New England reminder: I forgot the noises a whole lakeful of ice can make. I'd never have thought to describe it when I lived here, but now that I've been away I recognize it as something I don't hear in California.

It took me twenty minutes to fluff it up this morning, and I'll have to get it cut every six weeks. Time saver, sadly, I think it ain't. But I can swim.

I have to be honest, when I cut my hair I thought it would be a time-saver, and unfortunately it wasn't. Just like you pointed out, it took more time to style it, and then the constant trims. Having said that, it cured me of my fear of ever going short again. I've cut it, and grown it, and cut it and grown it a few times now. I've probably been happiest when mine is a medium length.

Yours looks stunning, and I'm confident the new look will grow on you if it hasn't already :)

Thanks! I think maybe I'll be more comfortable and confident with the new look when I figure out how to style it in the morning. (Right now each day is a new experiment. This morning: the blow dryer. After two minutes I looked like my hand was in an electric socket. OOPS!)

Maybe I'll just grow it right back out again! Er, okay, if my feet ever heal up, that is. :-)
