Day 8: Hair

I have short hair now. (Yes, everybody who keeps telling me what I should do, I did donate to Locks of Love.)

Need new user icons.

Also, a New England reminder: I forgot the noises a whole lakeful of ice can make. I'd never have thought to describe it when I lived here, but now that I've been away I recognize it as something I don't hear in California.

Hmm, I didn't get anywhere near the number of comments you did when I cut my hair! But then, going from 2" to 1/4" isn't quite the same :-)

I know that it's hard, but try to focus on the positives: someone will have some nice hair because of you, and it will help you get some exercise.

(And, they say that it will grow back)

But, also, feel free to bemoan the inevitable/unavoidable to your friends. That's what we're here for.

I'd've thought that when you went to 1/4" everybody would want to brush their hands over your head! Did they?

Right now the reassurance that it'll grow back is keeping me sane. I remind myself that if I'm not comfy with this in six weeks I can simply never make the appointment to get it trimmed.
